Highlights from SPOA 2025: Industry Insights & Our Big Launch

We just wrapped up an incredible few days in Raleigh, North Carolina at SPOA’s International Summit for School Photography and Yearbooks, and we want to extend a big thank you to the organizers for hosting such a well-run and inspiring event. The show was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other high-volume photography studios, exchange ideas, and learn from some of the best in the business.

DIVING INTO INDUSTRY CONVERSATIONS

Our team had the pleasure of participating in four engaging presentations and roundtable discussions focused on key industry topics like running a studio with 301+ schools, school photography marketing, owning and acquiring a school photography studio, and AI-driven photo editing. These conversations were not only insightful — they also reinforced just how much innovation and growth is happening in school photography.

A MILESTONE MOMENT: EVA’S OFFICIAL LAUNCH

One of the highlights for us was officially launching Eva, our brand-new photographer performance software. Eva is designed to evaluate photographers based on image exposure, blurriness, glasses glare, face shine, lack of smile, and closed eyes. It’s the kind of tool our industry has been missing for years — finally giving studios a fast, objective, and scalable way to evaluate photographers.

Whether you’re managing a small team or hundreds of photographers, Eva fits right into your workflow. It can be used on its own or easily added on if you’re already working with us for background removal, color correction, or glare correction.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE EVA

  • Increase sales: Better photography will directly translate into better sales.
  • Secure repeat business & minimize lost contracts: Stronger photo quality leads to more satisfied customers, and a reputation that naturally drives repeat business and referrals.
  • Faster, targeted training: EVA gives you a crystal-clear view into photographer performance, making it easier to know exactly where each photographer needs coaching — especially helpful for new or seasonal hires.
  • Improve photographer retention: When photographers feel supported and see their growth, they’re more likely to come back next year — helping you tackle one of the industry’s toughest challenges: retention.
  • Elevate production workflow: Great photography is the foundation of your entire workflow — when it’s strong, it improves production flow, minimizes manual correction, cuts costs, reduces customer service calls, and increases team spirit.

UNTIL NEXT TIME, SPOA!

Thank you again to everyone who stopped to chat with us — we loved meeting you and sharing what we’ve been working on. We’re already looking forward to next year!
